As the tumultuous year that was 2020 recedes into memory and we look forward to a more "normal" 2021, here are a few tips that might make you more resilient, and help you come out of the pandemic with your mental health intact:
1. Find something positive
Find something positive in everything you do, look for the silver lining. It takes some practice, but it gets easier the more you do it. And with time, you'll develop a more positive outlook.
2. Accept failure
We all have a fear of not being good enough, but failure is a part of our lives. The way you deal with it is what matters the most.
3. Seek help
Don't be afraid to reach out. Counselling can have a negative connotation, but more and more people now realise how helpful it can be to seek guidance.
4. Exercise
If you're eating healthy and working out regularly, keep it up. Exercise not only helps you keep in shape, it also releases endorphins - the feel-good hormones.
